This video clip is from a DVD that was produced for Poyntzpass & District Local History Society during 1998. The video brings you on a historical rail and canal journey through Poyntzpass and neighbouring district. It includes scenes around the Newry Canal which reaches its summit at Poyntzpass. Mickey Waddell recalls his childhood days growing up in a canal lockhouse. The video also takes you inside the 1 mile-long Lissummon Tunnel, the longest in Ireland which was on the old Newry-Armagh Railway.
