Hello Poyntzpass,
Enjoy the website very much, and especially the post cards. I would like to ask if there are any of the Close family of Drumbanagher, and Elm Park still around? I am working on my old Scriven people. Burkes' .....History of Landed Gentry 1875, page 250 says that Emily Jane Close married J E Scriven of Bondville, Co Armagh. I bought the death certificate of Jane Medlicott Scriven, mother of John Enraght Scriven. She died at his home at Bondville, Tynan in 1866. I'd like to find out if there is more of the Close family information than I can find online. I haven't been able to find out any more. If anyone has any ideas I like to visit. My G-Grandfather John (William) HAMILTON was born in Nothern Ireland in May of 1825 of a Scotch Father and Irish Mother. He emigrated to America in 1840. He married in Wisconsin, USA in 1858. My interest is in finding if these are my ancestors.
